Sairah Tyler is a community planner and sustainability strategist. She has been involved in a wide range of projects addressing major socioeconomic and environmental issues in British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and the United States. Sairah plans across multiple scales – from local sites to neighborhoods, cities, and broad scale regional landscapes. Her solutions address sustainable community development, water and watersheds, climate change impacts and adaptation, low impact development, urban forests, park and open space systems and more. She uses collaborative processes and dynamic approaches to achieve stakeholder participation and support. By actively drawing on both her physical and social science foundations and combining it with targeted research and community engagement, Sairah ensures that the local community’s interests and needs are oriented with today’s best practices.
